Aggressive Profile

The Aggressive profile is designed for operators who have thoroughly validated TRADEOS.tech in their deployment environment and are optimizing for maximum risk-adjusted return. It accepts the broadest signal set, the largest position sizes, and the widest drawdown tolerance in exchange for the highest expected return potential.

When to use Aggressive

  • You have run the system successfully on Balanced for an extended period with well-understood behavior
  • Your capital base and risk tolerance support larger drawdown swings
  • You have operational maturity — monitoring, alerting, and incident response are in place
  • Market conditions are favorable (trending regimes, strong signal regime, low fragmentation)

Behavioral characteristics

Signal gating — the Aggressive profile uses the lowest signal confidence threshold of any built-in profile. More setups qualify, including setups that would be filtered by Conservative and Balanced. The system trades more frequently and acts on broader signal agreement.

Position sizing — position sizes can reach the highest percentage of portfolio value permitted by the system's hard limits. The Kelly fraction cap is the most permissive, allowing the system to size positions closer to the Kelly-optimal amount when conviction is high.

Drawdown response — the drawdown breaker activates at the widest threshold of any built-in profile, allowing the system to weather normal drawdown volatility without halting. When the breaker does activate, the recovery behavior is identical across profiles — sizing is reduced and signal gates tighten.

Hold time — positions can be held for the longest maximum duration, allowing longer-duration trends to play out without premature exits.

Signal types — all signal types are enabled, including experimental signals that are disabled in other profiles. Experimental signals have more limited historical validation but may contribute additional edge in specific market conditions.

Trade-offs

The Aggressive profile will produce larger drawdowns than Conservative or Balanced during adverse periods. Extended losing streaks are more impactful because position sizes are larger. The system's multi-layer risk architecture (stop losses, drawdown breaker, regime gating) remains active and constrains losses, but within a wider operating envelope.

The Aggressive profile should not be the starting point for any deployment. It is appropriate only after behavior under Balanced is well-understood and the operator has confidence in the system's performance in their specific market and capital context.

Profile switching

You can switch to a different profile at any time from the dashboard. The change takes effect immediately for new trade intents. See Strategy Profiles for a comparison of all profiles.
